Connecting the Dots

Remember the excitement of going back to school? One of my favorite parts was breaking into a fresh box of crayons. All of them gleaming and unbroken—full of potential. Lately I've been exploring more traditional materials again, the crumbs from erasers, smears from oil based ink, dust from charcoal litter my workspace. Not good for my computer keyboard, but good for my soul. This is a new image I created for the September issue of Honolulu Magazine.
