Illustration Friday: Boundaries

Boundaries—unless they are geographic features like oceans, rivers, mountains and canyons, people create them. On micro and macro scales. Somehow, we instinctively draw lines to claim what's ours or to keep people out. I'm reminded of the warning from childhood, "Don't color outside the lines!". This image started out as an exploration of figure abstractions and texture. I developed it as a stock image for my collection at the iSpot.
