Jing and Mike Co. LOVES Libraries!

Both Mike and I ADORE libraries. In college (yes! we are "sweethearts" from way back then) we both frequented the library for "fun". I would pore through the sheet music, while Mike would check out many records (yes! vinyl records) and listen to lots of music. Mike was thrilled to work with the Multnomah County Library system to create a series of posters and books promoting reading. The materials are based off his book for Simon and Schuster,  Junkyard. Flipping through the Mandarin version of the Rhyme Book made me smile, there's a traditional Chinese song my mom taught me as a child about two tigers called,  Liang zhi Lao Hu.

Reading Adventures!

Every Saturday morning, my mom used to bring my sisters and I to the library for story/craft hour. It was always on of my favorite parts of the week. Walking through the shelves, running my hand along the vertical spines of books that held so many worlds—all for my choosing! This is a book cover I finished recently for a text book publisher. I wonder what kinds of memories kids on lap tops will have?
